Ultrasound (USG) at ApoorvaDiagnostics
Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create live images of organs inside the body. It does not use X-rays or any radiation, it is painless, and it usually takes only a few minutes. A gel is applied to the skin and a small probe is moved over the area being examined while the images are viewed on a screen.

A trans-abdominal scan of the pelvic organs, also part of our PCOD and fertility profiles.

How to Prepare for Your ApoorvaDiagnostics Scan
- Abdomen scan: you may be asked to avoid food for a few hours before the scan so the gall bladder and other organs are seen clearly.
- Pelvis scan: you will usually need a full bladder – drink water as instructed and avoid passing urine until the scan is done.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring your doctor's request and any previous scan reports.
